What are you waiting for?? Go sign up, now!

This week's question:

Q. Genre Wars! What's your favorite genre and which book in that genre made it your favorite?

This was a real toughie!  I know that my favorite genre is hands down Urban Fantasy, but I think I've got two books (or series rather) that made it my number one.  The first is Patricia Briggs's Mercy Thompson Series.  The first book Moon Called rocked my world, and, even w/the 6th installment, I'm loving everything about Mercy!  The second would have to be J.R. Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood.  Now, I know you're probably saying, "But that's not UF, it's paranormal romance!!"  Well, whatever it is she writes, Ward is ball-to-the-wall kick a**, true?  :)

What about you guys??

(Oh, and if you follow me or have been following me, please leave a comment!  I like to follow back, and I know there are at least a few of you I'm missing ;))

  1. New follower! Happy reading, friend!

    Nikki @ Books Most Wanted

  2. Haha! I have to agree with your statement of Ward's books!! Loved the BDB series, I need to get the angel books now!

Old follower wishing you a happy friday!

    My FF:

  3. I am more a fan of paranormal romance than urban fantasy. I think that the main reason is that UF is usually written in the first person, which is my pet peeve.
    Happy blogging.

  4. Hi! I'm a new follower! Have a great weekend.

    ABookGeek - LLM

  5. @Nikki Hey!! Headed over to check out your blog now :)

@Lauren B Yeah, the first person is one of the things I love so much about UF. But if it's a boring's hard to stick with it. Thanks for stopping by!

  6. @LLM Hey there! *waves*Going to check your blog as well :)

  7. I love fantasy too and urban fantasy is definitely a great subgenre. I'd have to thank the Mortal Instruments for my love of urban fantasy.

  8. Thanks for stopping by and saying hi. I have GOT to get on the BDB bandwagon. Like now.

    New follower =)

  9. @Jenni Yes to fantasy! The 7th HP is actually my favorite book of all time!!! It just really showed that Rowling knew how to finish and was just SPECTACULAR :)

@Kati R Lady, I hope you get on the BDB train!! Believe me, you won't be sorry

  10. Happy Friday! How is my favorite Ninja in the world?! You are like my book sister. I love both series, Mercy rocks and BDB is awesome!! BTW - can we share Stefan or is going to be a fight to the finish? I think since you are a ninja that you would totally kick my ass..hehe
